id never buy a carbon fiber bike, a friend knows the old rolls royce carbon fiber engineer and even he refuses to ride one simply because once it takes AN impact it can fail at a later date whenever it feels like it so i just wouldn't feel safe

steel is real  i prefere steel on a mtb and miss my tange prestiged tubed kona now ive sold it, i raced on a few carbon vitus road bikes back in the early 90's they was nice and stiff for sprinting but a bit harsh over long rides, plus costly if broken, steel is so easy to repair plus has a nice feel if good quility , very nice looking bike though and well speced,
