finally I discover a flaw on the 400 . The nail slot is punch on the wrong side which is inside and suppose to be out side like the scissor. it is same for my silver and black version Gerber 400.

Those feckless Americans can't be trusted to make a decent tool. Should've got a Swiss one.

Ghee I saw that most newer Gerber got this flaw. It is so silly, cannot be a new design. The leather man punch the hole on the right side.

interesting, my MP400 has a slot cut right through the blade rather than a nail nick.

Todays way of manufacturing things - design and make one piece, and use it in as much devices as possible without the need to design and make another variant.
Have fun.

My Mp400 got a nail nick rather then slot cut right through the blade. there are some variance.
Depend on when it is made.

My 2 Gerber 400 don't flick. any thing wrong?
Since they are new, I don't expect them to flick.

Are you holding the ends of both handles when trying to flik them open? Try holding only one. All of my Gerbers have had no problem fliking open, new or used.
