I tend to use pretty much everything I can find that looks the part and comes with 5-6 mm diametar hole.

Tubes, nuts, end-stops, crimp sleeves, ferrules...Ti, S/S, carbon steel, brass, copper etc - anything goes.

Local hardware shops provide endless inspiration to us fiddlers and modders   :D

What do you have and use?

I have those plumbing ones you have there,  (second row down, second from left)

I love finding things to use,  care to share where you got some of these?
If I can help, let me know

  • What's the matter, kid? Don't ya like clowns?
I never use lanyards and on the rare occasion I do I do not use beads. Those are looking great though and I love the industrial theme.  :tu:

This is about 2 years worth of searching and collection on and off. Most of the stuff not in the picture are now on the paracord lanyards.

I usually go thru local hardware stores here in NZ, many from Aliexpress.com (especially copper and and brass wire as well as cheap miniature carbon steel ball bearings) some from eBay and Amazon. I'm not sure what of this is still available these days, I haven't looked for about 6-7 months.

  • I may get older but I refuse to grow up.
That's quite a selection. What are the 2nd row, 3rd from the left from?

I've used coaxial cable connectors in the past.

Nice, i thought about using brass tubes from darts, not sure what the diameter are they but they're nicely knurled like your cable connectors.

Those are the actual Ti beads...sorry not everything in that box is industrial hardware :)  Same goes for the steel and Damascus beads diagonally above to the right from the one you mentioned.
