Day 20, Esquire left me hanging :-\. Had to deal with a rusty philips screw in between classes and was unable to get it loose. Not surprising though, screwdriver isn't exactly one of the little SAKs intended uses.
I'm a total legend..... in my own mind- Herley

Going strong, even over the camping weekend where I did a lot of different things over the usual wine, bottles and biltong. Tweezers came in handy for thorns, my daughter (5) also got a lot of use from her "My First"
Whittled a forked catapult shaped stick to chase the monkeys.

All that is getting to me is the other SAK's just sitting there, even other minimalists like Spartan, Soldier, Evo10, Bantam, Recruit etc.

Really getting to know and like the Waiter after 21 days and it will remain a favorite after 11 days are gone.
But not 100% exclusive.

Only 10 more days............seem like forever.
Light day for the Compact yesterday. Used the blade to cut up some boxes, a couple pieces of twine and open some bills that came in the mail. Used the combo tool to turn a couple of screws here and there.
Also used the scissors to cut my fingernails.

Still going strong with the Sportsman. A bit of nail care with the nail file, some food prep, beer bottle opening and the occasional use of the toothpick.

I'm going mad(der) not being able to get other toys tools out to play...

Still in - just got back from a 2 day training course where my SI sat 'dans mon poche' the whole time, doing nothing.

I'm looking forward to getting it back to work tomorrow, on day 22.

Well done Swiss Army Knights and 'Courage mes Braves'

Compact pen failed me. Needed a pen to write down some very important info, but I was in the wife's car so only had bad pens that wouldn't write. So compact pen came out and it would barely write.
My normal edc would have had a fisher space pen.
Oh well managed to get everything I needed.

Torch fail and Sak Fail today. Light was not strong enough to see a waterleak in the ceiling this morning. Now this could have been an easy fix with the Surge or large SAK. All I really needed was a small pair of pliers and phillips with a little reach to put a patch kit on the waterline.
Now I don't carry a waterline patch kit everywhere I go. It just so happen the that the spare parts room was right across the hall from where the leak was at. Problem was, the shop was on the first floor in another building. Sigh. Good thing was it was a small leak and this waterline had a shut off with a handle on it.
Now the compact did do a good job cutting the ceiling tiles and the insulation of the pipes. It did dull the blade somewhat, but I was able to get it back to good cutting order in no time.
Also used the hook for some lashings. Hook FTW!
After work on the farm, nothing to much. Just opened a can of Pork n' Beans to go with dinner.

Nothing doing today. First day back at work after the baby, though. Spent about ten hours staring at a monitor. Ten more hours tomorrow, prolly eight Friday, which is normally a four hour day for my department.

Though I'm not participating in the challenge, I've been going pretty minimalist lately.  Over the past two weeks, the SAKs I've used the most have been my Rambler and Minichamp.  I'm slowly realizing just how capable these little suckers are.  The keychain SAK is always just kind of there for me, but lately I've made a conscious effort to use it, and have had absolutely no problems with tasks around the house or out and about.  :tu:
There's no such thing as "Too pretty to carry".  There's only "Too pretty NOT to carry"...... >:D
