Best of luck on all the techy wierd stuff that I don't understand  :P I'm a bit of a Luddite who despises the parasitic organisms that boosts our search engine stats (including Gargoyle and Felchbook) and might occasionally mention such feelings once or twice ....



 .... but don't take that as any criticisms from me toward the efforts put in by all the crew behind the scenes here, who put in their free time to keep this the best place on the web  :tu:

Thanks for rolling up your sleeves and taking an active role in our wellbeing, and I wish you all the best in ensuring we're top of the tree on the search engines :cheers:

I am going through everything right now so I haven't started much.
But I really don't mind talking shop. The search engine stuff is one part of what I am hoping to do.

I completely understand what you are saying. This site exists solely for you guys. That's it.
I have absolutely no interest in changing that. I have no interest in dumbing down content hoping that Google likes it better.
To me: The better site we have- the more people we'll have visiting it and using it.

To me it isn't about being #1 in Google rankings. It's about making sure people are coming back. Giving them a reason to come back.
We could be number one in Google but have low traffic visiting the site- what's the point of that?

Perhaps this means more consistent content on the site. Content being posted more often. We'll have to see!

As for the forum, I've been lurking it a long time and I really enjoy it. You have a really great community here.

I'm doing all I can to help.  A g search for "plierench" has an MTO forum article  I started in third place on the first page.  Not bad considering the age of the tool. I'm sure with Megan's help it will be number 1 in no time!
