Show me your Skinth first responder load outs.
on: October 16, 2014, 02:01:59 AM
Hey guys.

I work as a set electrician on film and TV.
and needed a new skinth to help take the load off my og.

I ordered a fr and just wanted to see how you guys have yours set up.

Mine will have the 2x4 pocket in the front and Molle attachment in the back.

Plan to use the shears pouch for a c-wrench.

My current load out. But I would love to see yyour first responder load outs. And your thoughts on the Molle backing vs the clip. ( not sure if Eric does the Velcro any more )

I like being able to sandwich my belt loops also the hookside attaches to wilderness belt pretty well.

How bigs if your belt? I can likely do some kind of hybrid button snap loop thingy. Kind of like short Molle but for your belt.

How long is the c-wrench? The slot is only about 3" long.

My belt is an 1.5 wilderness rigger belt.

Cwrench I generally carry a 6 inch.
might be looking for a shorter one soon.

Would it be possible to nix the molle and just have two Velcro straps as my og ?
Or maybe I'm just making things more complicated and should just do a clip for easy on and off.

Well I can add a 1.5" clip on it that is quite strong but the rotational potential is high. A solid belt loop is best for you stage and show guys. Who knows where you will be climbing and security is best.

Is the first responder wide enough for 2 clips side by side?

A Grip friend of mine had his "catch all" set up like that anand I think it worked well on that.

I'd like not to remove my belt to remove it if possible

It's not wide enough. Like I said I can do a belt loop button Snap hybrid if needed.
