Micra production

I know the Micra has been in product since 1996. But when in 1996 did it begin? I only ask because I have a Micra dated 1196. Just curious how early in the production it was.

I'll have a look at the date codes in mind and post them. Hopefully others will too. I can't say for sure that we'll find the earliest one, but it will be interesting at least!

Mine is fairly recent, 11-08, so I guess it doesn't help.
