Finished up at my much unloved job a couple of hours ago. :D

Time to relax over the weekend and mentally prepare for working on airplanes again. Induction at Qantas maintenance base on Monday morning.

Well, two weeks into the new job and I must admit I'm much happier.
Different country, different Airline, different aircraft and different people, but it's damn near the same as when I last worked on Commercial industry jets, nearly 20 years ago. Different feel to the military stuff, and that's okay by me.

Funny, spent all week stripping out the cabin completely in an Airbus A330 for a C8 check and cabin reconfig, that's EVERYTHING out, seats, galleys, lav's, sidewalls, overhead bins, floor panels... the works. and it's STILL better than what I just left.
