It is, due to beeing a gravity knife.

The possession is allowed as long as the blade is not installed, or if the blade is replaced with a "rescue blade" (there are replacement blades available with rounded tip and a hookblade).

No, thanks. It´s not that i need that tool for actual usance, it would be on display in a glass cabinet, only.
I´m sure yours are fine, but they would be only bought private pieces - his would be the army issued tool of a fellow airborne. It´s not the naked tool i´m after, it´s the "story/feeling" behind that makes it interesting to me. (Hard for me to expain in english - but ... i wouldn´t be interested if it´s from a member of the marines or the engineers corp, it would be missing the lineage for me.)

In fact, I do own a new MP 600 EOD and ST, but both, while military tools, lack the history you are after.

I got a complete Army Issue MP 600 I do not need. No scissors and I am not sure if the small thing on it is an Awl or small flathead?

Is it a needle-nose or blunt-nose?
