PST in Jurrasic Park?

I've had the original Jurrasic Park on this afternoon,and I'm pretty sure that Sam Neil is wearing a PST on his belt

There is no beginning,or ending,and for this we are thankful,cos now is hard enough to understand!

Hmm... I saw it recently and did several times wonder what he had on his belt, but as far as I can remember, you never get to see the contents of the sheath? Ironically, my girlfriend is watching it right now.

I was watching the explorers last week with my children and one of the boys opens up what looks like a pst type mt to open the junkyard lock
