[BANNED SCAMMER] Wanted-A nice small multitool
on: November 06, 2014, 05:07:33 PM
Im looking for a good quality multitool thats about 3" when folded up....I like that size as I can carry it in my pocket or in a belt sheath. Im fairly new to m.t.'s so I really dont know what name brand tools are around that size, so I hope that maybe someone has one to trade, or can at least inform me of what tools I should be looking for. Thanks in advance to any and all.

without pliers then you have many SAK to choose from.
with pliers, most MT are 4" or 2", i do not aware of any 3" models.

Pliers isnt a must have, just handy sometimes. But I guess if something was good quality and useful without pliers, thats good enough for me. Thanks guys

The Juice line is 3.25".  Might want to look for the pre-2014 versions though (although I have a 2014 Juice S2 and it's still a very usable tool, for me).

If you don't need pliers (or are ok with the small SAK pliers), there are many, many options with SAKs.

Then use the SAK selector to choose one with your ideal tool set, they are many to choose from.

Maybe the Gerber Balance fits the bill? at 3,75 a bit bigger than the Juice, but nicely pocketable due to it´s soap like form factor.

As I am still learning about the mountains of different multitools out there, I looked up the skeletool cx, and LOVE the 154cm blade! Great setup too. What other multitools have a good size blade thats made from 154cm or similar steel? Thanks

Yup, I quite liked the Ti, the 154CM blade is great and the pliers don't have the cap crimper.  :tu:

But it doesn't have the gut hook. I would get the new slab TTi and swap the plier head with the Rebar.  ;)
