I honestly think you should contact them. I've asked everyone here for permission to use pictures for something that won't be distributed because there is a certain principle involved. They should have at least given you the credit or clearly put where the pic was taken from

I think most members here would have no problem whatsoever if another member "uses" pictures of them, still most of us have the courtesy to ask permission, (like you did with your "project"  ), but that's just the way this great forum works  .

I just checked their site and when you click on "Victorinox Delémont Collectie" it used to show the first pic I posted here, and that one is replaced by another one (not one of my pics).

So maybe they did read my e-mail  .

And it's also a bit weird that I haven't received their "new" newsletter, since Tom already got it ...

You know, I had been lurking on their site the last couple of weeks because they had the BO Rebar in stock (pretty rare here in Belgium), and I was seriously considering buying one in the near future, but that's not going to happen now ...

I remembered that, it's from your action there that I got this idea.  That case of picture theft was even worse, they didn't even bother to copy your pic but instead just used a link to your photobucket account, how low can you go ... 

It did give you the chance to mess with her blog  .

That it did. Told me she didn't know much about computers, otherwise, she would have just copied the photo to her folder and that would have been that. As it stood, it was worth it for the laughs.

I received an e-mail from the shop today, they immediately admitted that they handled this wrong and apologized for it.  They also said that they had removed the pic from their site.  They said that the pics they got from Victorinox to promote the Delémont Collection were not up to par, and that was why they went on the net to find something better (and again they admitted that this was not the right thing to do).

They also mentioned that they knew this forum, and that it was nice to see so many people coming together to talk about multitools.

And last but not least ... they also asked if there was anything that they could do to make this right, for example, give me a nice multitool ...

I'll let you guys know how this ends, but it sure looks as if they are going to do everything they can to make this right.

The worring part is that victorinox own pics are not up to par...
Maybe you should contact Victorinox and offer your services (for a reasonable fee ofcourse ) ?

Way ahead of you my friend, way ahead  .

I told them that they could use this pic if they still wanted to (because the pic that they use now is quite ...  ).  And if they ever needed other pics, that they could check out my photobucket account, and if there was anything that they could use, they just had to send me an e-mail.  I also mentioned that I'm proud that they preferred my pic above the one from Victorinox, and if they still want to use it they could, but that I would like them to give me the credits for the pic, by placing my name or even my initials under it.

I also told them that I would do pics "on request", if I have the tool in my collection, and if not, that they could always send me the tool and I would take the pics and send it back (getting a brand new tool in my hands to take pics is good enough for me, if there was a chance to use it for a while so I could do a review here, that would be even better, but I'm not going to start dreaming here  ).

I gave them a list with a couple of tools that are "missing" in my collection, and told them that they should pick one if they still wanted to give me one (I think it's not up to me to say which tool they should give me, if they want to give me a multitool, that would be great, but they should decide how much they are willing to spend on it, not me).

So, I hope to hear from them on monday, and when I do, you guys will hear about it to  .

Glad to hear they contacted you and will make it right.  I have always enjoyed your pictures and it is perplexing why Victorinox doesn't have good one.

Credit to you for dealing with this is such a calm way. Photos = multitools, sounds good. Also nice that you have struck up a good relationship via email, sounds like a good website, I wonder if they ship to the UK.......
