It's a sickness, and I don't want to get better.
on: November 12, 2014, 08:41:17 PM
Hey multi-toolers.

Well, it started innocently enough.

I was looking for a thin, practical SAK to carry around, and I had narrowed it down to the Climber :climber: and the Super Tinker.

My question led me to this forum and the whole Phillips vs. corkscrew debate. After several sleepless nights, I gave in and bought both on FleaBay.

Then I see the Explorer, and think, well, one more layer won't hurt. And I could use another SAK to keep in my travel bag. And that in-line screwdriver, that's the stuff man.

Now the fever has really taken hold. A few days later I find a Charge AL listed for $69 bucks. I can't help myself, it's too good a deal...

Today, I've registered for a forum filled with people who will only encourage me to buy more tools.

It's a chronic condition now. I'll never be cured, and I don't want to be.

Also can't believe I got this username. Glorious.

You can spend your money on gambling, alcohol, cokaine, call girls, fancy clothes, cigars, delicatessens, materialistic transcient pleasures. Or buy those portable miracles of Swiss and American engineering that will cost less and cause less problems, if any. You owe it to yourself.
Do you have a Swisschamp? You should get one before you buy the XLT.

Welcome to the forum!

The Explorer is a great sak and I am sure you will like it!  This is the one I have and carry about 99% of the time. :)

Sorry for the generic pic as my camera is having some issues! :)

Welcome aboard!  Glad you don't want to get better, because when it comes to SAK and multitool addiction, trying to get free of it in this place is like getting sober at an AA meeting held in a bar on dollar shot night.......
There's no such thing as "Too pretty to carry".  There's only "Too pretty NOT to carry"...... >:D
