CRKT sub-forum

Should CRKT has its own sub-forum?
They do offer some interesting MT's.

I think it wouldn't get enough traffic to justify its own board.

You could start a CRKT thread though.

I have a few of their folders that I would post.  :tu:

I've looked at their knives just never bought any. I should probably fix that.

Definitely make a thread!
I think I have a folder, paddling knife and maybe a rescue tool.

I would say they offer some models worth a go. I do really love their secondary safety thingy that makes it nearly impossible to close the blade on yourself.

I knew that this was talked about before

I think Buck, Schrade, Camillus may also sell more multitools than CRKT.
CRKT seems to be more into unique designs, and knives, rather than mainstream multitools.

LM is trying to imitate there style with some their newer designs.

Should CRKT has its own sub-forum?
They do offer some interesting MT's.

It's a cart/horse thing, and this has been discussed before, both with CRKT products and other brands.  I'm fine with opening a CRKT subforum, but there has to be some discussion to warrant it.  I don't recall the last time anyone talked about a Zilla, Guppie or MAK 1.  Starting a forum about it won't generate discussion, it'll actually just make the forum look pathetic with yet another board that isn't seeing any traffic.

CRKT does indeed have a number of really neat products, from the Flux to the Gekkota to the Cicada, not to mention a really interesting and varied line of knives- in fact I think there has been a lot more discussion of CRKT knives in the Edged Tool forum than tools.

If we see an upswing in discussion for something I am happy to start a forum dedicated to them.  Unfortunately, it doesn't really work the other way around.

I think we generally see them in the "General Tool Discussion" section, or the "Edged Tools" section.

I agree. They are inexpensive but not cheap.

I have tried a couple of their multitools, and do have a soft spot for the Li'l Guppie. On the whole though, I wouldn't say they were particularly strong in the multitools. I tend to look on their knives more favourably though, and I have more of their folders than any other maker I think. Currently I own a Van Hoy Snaplock, Mah Liong #5, McGinnis Tuition and Edgie ... and I don't think I own four folders by any other maker  Their knives tend to be at a decent pricepoint, are of reasonable quality, and they're not afraid to try something different. The Mah Liong #5 is actually one of my favourite "urban" folders
