My Nexus 7 (2012) updated earlier this evening, and my Nexus 4 is updating right now. Both OTA updates, I wasn't keen on force flashing a factory image.

anyone else?

I updated my Nexus 7 tablet (latest version) with Android 5 software tonight.

So far, so good, though I've not seen any improvements yet.

Is your N7 a 2012 or a 2013?  Notice any lag with the new OS?

It is a bit laggy for some things for me, I have the 16gb model.

http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2014/11/lollipop-on-the-2012-nexus-7-not-great-but-not-much-worse/

one thing I have noticed is that I only have 1 new wallpaper on my N7, and the rest are just solid colors, where on my N4 I have a whole pile of new wallpapers.

My phone seems very different in comparison, but that's always been the case.

Nothing here on my Nexus 4 yet in the UK, and I've just returned my Nexus 7 (2013) because the USB port stopped working.  Hopefully I'll get a replacement in a week or so.

Does it consume more space? I have 3GB free on my LG.

I think it needs 500mb to install.

As you can see my Nexus 4 was a ~395mb download, Nexus 7 2012 was ~311mb.

I have not seen an upgrade notice on my N7 (2012) or my Galaxy S5 yet.

My N7 gets bogged down a lot lately so I'm kind of thinking about doing a factory reset on it.

My N7 2012 (32 GB) goes through fits and spurts of slowness.  I tend to think it's something related to some app running in the background.  I should do a factory reset, but fear the mess to clean up afterwards. :(

I've thought about doing a reset on my N7, but not my N4.

First I want to make sure I make a backup of my stuff on it, a few apps I use don't save to Google Drive or backup automatically.

I got it on my Nexus 7 (v2) about a week ago.  From my perspective, there are just some modest visual changes but nothing noteworthy.  Change just for the sake of change.  Maybe there is more to it than that.   My son has a pair of Nexus 7's (v1 and a v2), and very neither have the update yet.  So maybe they roll it out in batches.

I'm sort of jonesing for a Nexus 9 or 10, but that's for another thread . . .

no updates here yet -- 2012 N7 (32GB) and Galaxy Nexus. I'm excited to see the changes on my N7, but fear it may cripple my phone. :-\

Just been out on a errand run and noticed that apps I normally use take ages to open the first time on my Nexus4. They're fine afterwards, I guess it's just post update re initializations...

My Nexus 7 is a 2013 model.   I haven't got accustomed yet to unlocking the screen while running the new software.  It wants to display status info before I can unlock it and I don't have the patience to wait for it.

Not sure if the new system causes a lagging response in general.

Each time I "swipe" the lock icon to unlock my 2013 Nexus 7, it unlocks but starts the Camera application.   I wonder if this is a bug in the new software or an error in my technique?

yeah I kind of miss the old swipe lock, the problem is that the quick launch is part of the swipe, when I swipe my Nexus 4 from bottom left it opens my dialer directly, bottom right is camera.

I think I'm going to change to pattern to avoid pocket dialing.

Lollipop is cool and the new Trusted Device/Location stuff is fantastic.  Just wish I could get Xposed back.

Come on Google, I have a 5" screen!  You can fit more than 4 icons in a row in the app drawer!  :twak:

Uh, you'll be waiting until January for the S5.  Samsung has to go through and thoroughly crapify Lollipop before it goes on your phone.

I'm not too worried.  Kit Kat is working wonderfully for me and I'm not a big fan of upgrading till it breaks.

on the upside all the bugs should be fixed by the time your Samsung gets it...

My 2013 Nexus 7 tablet shuts down much faster with the Android's Lollipop OS than it did with the previous version.

The only issue I've had so far on my n7 is with the facebook app that closes when I scroll down quite a ways on the newsfeed (and as a consequence when I reopen it my spot is lost as it's back at the top) oddly doesn't happen on my N4, but I mainly use the facebook app on the n7 for sofa surfing...

On my N4 I'm not a fan of the lockscreen shortcut to the dialer... that seems like a open opportunity for pocket dialing, so rather than my normal swipe to unlock I changed it to a pattern unlock.

Not sure about the white menu backgrounds, I would rather I had a choice

http://www.itwire.com/your-it-news/home-it/66196-warning-reports-say-lollipop-5-kills-nexus-7-2012-tablets interesting read, if you're on a nexus 7 2012, you may want to avoid the ota update. Seems like lots are doing a rollback to 4.4 I may look into it once I do a backup
