Hyde 17-in-1 painters multitool
on: November 20, 2014, 01:59:56 AM
The Hyde 17-in-1 multitool looks chiefly useful for painting and plastering, but can also be used as a screwdriver, bottle opener, hammer, open end wrench, and other tasks.  Screwdriver bits are stored inside the handle.

Very useful tools.  I've never seen that with the nail set in the end, I'm going to have to check my sundries suppliers now.   Hyde has a very good reputation, they make some excellent tape knives, 5-in-1's, etc.   :tu:

 The beer is a screw-cap

Not sure about the bit-driver vs. hammer part. Put the business end is looking good.

It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

Having seen painters use tools (shudder...) in let´s say creative ways, I think this would be a nice gift to any painter. They usually carry a scraper/spatula anyways. And it would save many pocket knives lifes. My Brothers Ex-Wife was a painter by trade. When she asked for a knife, you better esked back "what for" to save your knife from being used as a Phillips, pry bar, scraper, paint can opener....

The "X-in-1" painter's tool has been a staple of the industry for a very, very long time.  Manufacturer's just seem to love jamming more tool uses on to the things.

I'm rather fond of this one from lowes

Had to buy 2 cause my wife stole my first one.
I used to be a lot of things, and someday will again.
