I got paid for my time off, but had to turn over the "earnings" from jury duty to my employer. Trust me, I got the better deal there

I always kind of wonder why they don't offer unemployed people the option for jury duty. $10 a day is still $10 better than $0 a day. And it's not like they're missing work to be there.
