Noks Biker ( For J-SEWS )
on: July 10, 2008, 05:19:30 PM
I promised some time ago to arrange one russian MT for J-Sews.

Here it is at last,as this came to my local post office and i opened it,i instantly ordered one for me too, although its bit expensive but hey, even here next to russia, its rare one to own.as soon i get my own,ill put it in some field test :D
this is made for russian mountaineering soldiers...or what that may be in english.
but heres some quick shots, here u go. :salute:

and as its from Big Red,the sheath.....aint none, only some grease paper wrapped around it.

its very slim,it aint over 10mm i  think.and i dig that rough look, even its finihhed quite good, considering where it came fro,i already have russian multi(starange folder thing) from noks and theyre good items always it seems.

Whoa, that thing looks pretty radical Mikko! With that unusual layout it certainly cannot be said that the Russians are simply copying western designs! Wow, can't wait to get my hands on it. Thanks for posting the pictures!

not a problem.

yes it sure look different and i mean it in a good way.
i just had to order myself one too ;)
do u need anythin else, any fiinnish puukko´s maybe, since i could send em in a same package.and this town is full of Puukko´s.

i called to the importer/seller,they said that some of those come with nylon, sometimes leather sheath, and in most of cases, just a paper wrapper.

That's really cool!

I wonder when it first entered production.

Can you take some size-reference pictures? I'm curious about that too.

This reminds me of Flash's Winchester tool we saw at the meet up.... or am I going slightly crazy? I know its not exactly the same but it does look similar... doesn't it?

I like this MT, it simplicity is almost genius.  How can I get one, other than doing a hitch in the russian army??

Thats a very nice Russian Multitool Mikko, It reminded me that the Russians also designed the AK-47 so its only natural that they design a no frils, no nonsense, rugged and well built multitool. And thanks for the pics they really well shot.

I can't help but wonder if the soldiers that would be issued that had any input in it's design.

Hey yourself, thanks for being such a complainer! (never thought I'd tell someone that)  :D  Sounds like a perfect sheath for the job - thick leather for a heavy duty multitool.
