Newbie from the Netherlands
on: November 28, 2014, 01:23:49 PM
Hello MTO

My name is Marten from Limburg, the netherlands. I've been browsing the froum for a couple of weeks now and thought i might as well register.
Currently I am the owner of a Leatherman Wave. previously I owned a gerber multitool and a brand I don't remember. I gave both away when I was in Kenya.
Recently owning the Wave and looking into modding it a bit to create somthing like a leatherman Surge mini as made by kampfer. I don't have any idea how to aquire the parts as i only need some of them and mainly looking for the rebar head. any tips of do you have a rebar laying around catching dust.
I read something about letherman germany sending someone the parts free of charge but i cannot find the toppic anywhere.

greetings Marten

That's a good and unique experience.  Did you end up using any MT to help complete that project?

Yeah used it a lot. Cutting , bending rebar and joining it. Also fixing the waterpump in Place and several other things. It was great!

That's cool, you might also be interested in our member's torture test for MT and it's rather amazing how much a MT can endure before a full breakdown.

Welcome, Marten!

Always interesting to read field reports on how MTs have stood up to use and abuse!
"When you are playing with an MT, you briefly forget about the things that worry you and drag you down. It's like a drug addiction, without the weight loss, loss of family and job, and decaying teeth." — powernoodle
