A very short tale of two early GP's.....

Had the keyring/round Phillips version. The no keyring/square Phillips model arrived last week. Both are pre-hook.

SAK Guy,

Congrats on your square phillips GP.  :tu:

I have a few, but nowhere near what JB does.

Yeah, I'm a Motorist hoarder. That happens when you have a Victorinox addiction combined with spending way too much time in Catholic elementary school doing reports on St Christopher (another patron saint project! wow!)

Oddly for such a small knife (3 layer), there seem to be so many variations. This knife was made from c. 1960 - 1975. In my collection I have 12 different variants (shown above). So, 15 years has to be covered by 12 versions, right? Nope. There are at least 3 versions that other members here have that I don't - including the one with the car in your picture.

Do you have any of those St. Chrisophers to sell?

I might, but I'll have to look. Send me an email at the address in my signature otherwise I'll forget.

Added one more....same as the keyring/round Phillips one above...also has can key on the Phillips.

This one might get carried some.

I just examined both my round Phillips GP's side by side.....my old one has a fine backside screwdriver and this new one does not!!!!

So it's a third variation!!!!!!

 :woohoo:

Just added a forth variation.  Like my round, can key screwdriver version in the first post (with a backside fine screwdriver) but no keyring!!!!

Here's mine, dunno why I only have the one? This is a super useful pattern. Good thread SG!  :tu:

Round can key, no hook or back driver, no KR.

Been digging/cleaning my way through those 50 some odd SAKs that came in recently and wanted to add two Grand Prix.

One, like the square Phillips in the first post and the other like 4th variation mentioned above with  round, can key screwdriver, backside fine screwdriver and no keyring.

Pix when I can get to it. :salute:
