Both are minimalist multitools. Let's compare them
PowerDuo has much thicker profile than Skeletool, and has no pocket clip, carrying option is limited to sheath carry only.
Weight: 6.3 oz,
Dimension: 0.875" x 4.25" x 1.625"
PowerDuo has a full size (2.9") lock back knife blade.

Never realised the PowerDuo is so Small... Always figured it was MUT-sized.
How do they compare weight and width-wise?
The PoweDuo seems a better edc but I saw the bad reviews, it's a SOG
and it's nowhere near as pretty as the Skelly...

Drivers on PowerDuo aren't so hot, work ok but I expect a brand name tool would have much better fit and finish on them.
I don't mind using PowerDuo to do some work (except driving screws) instead of Skeletool, but Powerduo's strength (good size pliers head, nice big knife) is also its biggest weakness (big and heavy, lack of carrying options).
Base on its tool loadout Powerduo is a minimalist multitool.
Base on its size and weight, Powerduo is a full size multitool.
Not sure there are many minimalist like to sheath carry a full size multitool with only few functions.

Which one would you recommend? I always would like to use those two but now I see them side by side it seems the Skeletool would accompany a SAK better, because it is smaller, adds pliers, locking knife, Torx/Hex capability and and not poorer versions of the SAK's basic tools.

These are knife based multitools (Or lets say the knife and the pliers are equal..) so I would see them more like a replacement for a larger SAK (which is knife based) rather than something to compliment it. The powerduo has a toothpick and tweezers too.
The skeletool looks cooler and has a better reputation for quality.
The SOG (ignoring the usual quality problems) looks more friendly, cute.
Bear in mind that the gears of the pliers in the usual SOG models (e.g. powerpliers) are thicker than the powerduo ones, making them more robust, so you can take advantage of the extra force better, without worrying about damaging them (I think a member here damaged the powerpliers too..)

I think you already know what I am going to say.
I believe the most important characteristics of a minimalist multitool (All MT matter of fact) is ease of carry. Sheath carry isn't a suitable option for such.

I will never understand the option to not offer a pocket clip. What if I'm wearing sweat pants?!
