Hey Yall, New Floridian!
on: December 09, 2014, 04:25:23 AM

Hey yall new member here from Niceville Florida. I'm 19, an Eagle Scout, and work for SpaceWalk Inflatables. (I deliver bounce houses and water slides)

I am currently a member of Duramaxforum, Duramaxdiesels,  some fishing forums, and Garage Journal. All on AutoGuide or Tapatalk apps as these forums are my social media. Also waiting for EDCF..........

I'm partial to Buck and Leatherman however want to look at all options out there and different variations.

Current EDC and Multitool

Samsung Note 3.

Leatherman Skeletool CX

Wallet

And Keys.

I also keep a Wave in a Sheath bolted to my center Console that I received for earning the rank of Eagle on 1/12/12.

My old EDC tool was a Gerber Un-Named. Had a pin in each side and you pushed them down and slid the plier jaws out the top.

I sent it off for warranty because they no longer slid and I am so far NOT impressed with their customer service and turn around time. Another reason I have switched to leatherman.

I am a huge fan of Adam Savage and plan on building his version of a 1 finger draw holster for a leatherman wave. (If you haven't seen the one day build video I HIGHLY recommend it)

Can't wait to start posting!

I don't have any! I already saw another pair on here that were the same. This picture isn't one of mine but it is the same model I believe. I went to open a tailgate and the pliers twisted. I slid the jaws back in and they never opened again so I sent it off for warranty and it's been problems ever since.

But I do have a Gerber MiniParaframe and CRKT m16 that aren't tools but do make it to my EDC sometimes.

If that's the model you have, what you've got there is something we affectionately (or not really) call Mr. Pinchy here.  An old-school non-locking Multiplier.  They bite, but they're solid tools nonetheless.  :tu:  Stick around a while, we'll see if you end up with more flicky goodness in your multitool family.......  >:D

I cord wrapped the knives on both my wave and skeletool with MiniParacord (technical name lol) so I can open them quicker with my thumb. I know kwik set or some company of the sorts sells add able thumb knob but they are usually designed for a buck 110. So they would catch everything in my pocket on a Skeletool.

The additional cordage on the bottle opener of my skeletool is just for looks.....plus an additional 18" of paracord will never hurt an EDC.

Welcome!

Word of advice, just go out and buy three or four SAKs. Will save you some time.

Don't say I didn't warn you.

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

The teachers at college wouldn't like that too much.....it's "frowned upon" or some stupid excuse like that.

Keep flicking the Gerber open, of course.  >:D   :D  My boss understands, he carries a US made Schrade ST1 Tough Tool every day.

No I mean like what's your job?

I think it all depends on environment.

Flicking a knife open while waiting an hour in line at the walmart might be frowned upon as well....
