CougarBlades??? Feedback wanted

CougarBlades and I started a trade a couple weeks ago. I sent my stuff which is worth approximately $400 and it was delivered Monday the 26th of November. The items he is shipping to me have not been shipped yet. Communication has been ok but I am concerned Because I have been burned on this forum before and he has no other feedback here. Anyone else had a transaction with CougarBlades?
I am hoping everything works out of course and beleive it will but it would be nice to hear others' good experiences.

I'm hoping for the best.  I noticed nearly all his early posts were about trading then got into some chat.  I hope all works out for you and he's just been busy.

In past deals here I have only been burned on really small stuff, so the forum has been a good and safe place to trade. I should clarify that statement. We are working on another trade that I mentioned would consider after the first trade is delivered. So I am hoping it goes well in the end.

I did send him 2 knives for a trade, too - He was responsive and kind, but I have not heard back from him if he received the knives/sent out his package.
We´ll have to wait and see.

This is a busy time ( holidays ) and certainly life gets in the way but I'd say until these matters are resolve it would be prudent not harsh to hold off IMO.

I just wanted to add - I am not concerned as of yet. I am sometimes slow at shipping, too and not always find the time to communicate as fast as I would like to - So i´ll just wait and see what shows up. Nonetheless I´ll let you know how it went and I´m curious to know how cougarblades liked my very humble mod attempts.

So, I did look at his feedback before our trade and he had none but he had more than just a couple posts, multiple threads and was selling stuff. I figured he was upfront if he was selling here. When you sell stuff visa and PayPal can take the money right from your accounts if their is a claim. So i thought he was on the up an up. I new had concern until he kept making excuses. I only shipped two knives but both are expensive. I will contact the postal inspector and his local police. I messaged with other members here and now know none of them recieved their goods. The one thing I think we can do better at is call people out here sooner so other see it more readily. In hindsight I should have googled his name once he gave me his shipping info.

Wow this really sucks. I had started a trade with him when he first showed up here and he seemed like a great guy. After being burned before I refused to ship first, he sent a tracking number that wasn't valid but after talking to him he said he had a shipping label maker and the number would be in the system when he shipped. I didn't really think he was scamming just that he was being as causious as me since at the time I had no reviews here either. In the end it was neither of us would ship first and that was kinda where it was left and after trying to contact him he stopped replying so I figured he gave up on the trade due to the stand still. I'm glad I didn't ship first but I'm sorry I didn't see thru his scam earlier.

You were smarter about it than I was. I should've done something similar. And you're right he actually communicated quite often was very kind and cordial. that's why I mentioned the communication was okay. I should've been more thorough. And when I thought there was a problem, it's hard to know when I need to wait longer or when to report it

As bad as this experience might be, let´s not forget we have a very nice and peaceful marketplace in general - Don´t stop trading here because of the occasional smurf.
I "only" lost 2 108mm GAK mods in the process and hope the financial loss is not too big for each of you. May he cut his fingers with each tool he aquired by scamming and betraying.

Now lets carry on having a good time on MTO.

I spoke with the police department in Saltville. The officer was VERY helpful. Local laws make this a felony (over $200). He offered to share his email address. Any victims are welcome to email the police department so that they can be included in possible charges and restitution.
The email address for the investigating officer is: officerbmorris@saltville.org.

This may be referred to the state police, however, the local law enforcement is gathering details for now.

I realize only now that I have been burned by him , also. Only too late to see the feedback post on him linking those other threads. Ironically, I actually recall telling this guy I didn't mind shipping it out before receiving HIS payment, as "I've not been burned yet".

As much as I don't enjoy bumping this I think a mass email needs to be sent out in case anybody did business with him. Because I just found this and I'm still waiting for product from him and I've actually had contact with him within the past 3 days.

It would also seem right to take down his for sale and trade posts so others dont contact him and "make a deal".
