M KLEIN and Sons TL-29- Chicago USA
on: December 14, 2014, 01:08:00 AM
I picked up another one of these today even though I have a couple at home.  Seems to be stainless steel and possibly older than the two I own

I get a lot of use out of these tools(they save the edge of my saks from dirty jobs)

Do you guys find the screwdriver blade useful?
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

Very nice!  I love the TL-29.  I carry a late 70's Camillus fairly often, great solid knife.  :tu:

I do, yes. It is a nice screwdriver and a sweet wire striper.

Ducttape hooked me up with a TL-29 and I am very impressed with this. The blade and the screwdriver blade are both meaty and have some heft to them. There is a distinct snap when you open it up. Also, both were very easy to open up using the nail nicks. I'll see if I can put this thing to use in the coming days  :tu:

These are lovely looking knives.

What is the blade thickness like compared with the Wenger SI?

Almost the same, maybe a hair thinner at the tang but thicker over the length of the blade...not as much taper in thickness as the SI...I just checked.
