just FYI -- you'll need the Phillips from a Core/ST300. a Phillips driver from a smaller LM (Rebar/Blast/etc.) won't fit in the Surge.

good luck with your search! :salute:

What about modding a 3d Phillips bit to fit into your bit driver for the meantime? Your gonna have to break off the plier rests anyway to fit our longer bit. http://forum.multitool.org/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=48706.0;attach=133611;image

Thanks guys. The point is to have a dedicated phillips (since I encounter them more than flatheads) which, when coupled with the removable bit driver, will replace the stock bit driver.

What about the phillips from a Vista?

How about three Leatherman sheaths? Molle XL, Molle L and nylon.

there's more metal around the pivot on the Surge/ST300 version. zoidberg posted some great pics in the Hacked Leatherman club of the differences between the awl from a Surge vs. one from a Rebar; the differences in the Phillips drivers would be similar.

Technically the pics are Surge vs Surge. The smaller awl was one I cut down to fit.

Great, thanks for the explanation.  :tu:

Any idea where the phillips from a Vista would sit in all this?

Well if you have no plans for it... would save hacking up the Vista, which I'm not sure I want to do yet. What does one bribe crustaceans with?

Also sorry, I think I forgot to tell you that  I forgot to take the sheaths with me.
Thinking of doing Cass-Lagoon Thursday, Friday, Saturday.  :pok:

I would be removing it from my ST300 so would need the bit driver plus bribe, mora opinel svord etc.

You did tell me I just didn't reply sorry.
Will be working through the weekend again so I can take holidays mid next week.
I'll come find you some time this week and grab the sheaths.

Lake Coleridge had a 10km deep 6.4 this morning.

Yeah I felt it in bed this morning. The fault line it's on seems to go to Cass-Lagoon area. Later ones were in the main divide.
