Fishbone- what is it?
on: December 22, 2014, 03:30:45 PM
I found these while looking for something else and I thought we could have a little fun with it.

I grabbed an extra one so I could give one to the first person who knows what it's for.

Any guesses?

A quick guess would be a bottle opener and then the ability to connect two pieces of cord together without using knots.

Yes I am bored today lol

You got the bottle opener part right.  I suppose it could be used for connecting cords, but there is a very specific use this tool is designed for.

Beat me to it!! I have 3 of them in various shapes. I have also cracked numerous gopro mounts because of them.

I would definetly upgrade to the aluminum set screws before trying to tighten a plastic one.

I like the aluminum mounts a lot and I use them where I can.  When I use plastic ones I don't crank them too hard.

I find I need the wrenches more to loosen the cameras afterwards to be honest.

Same here. Unless I know for sure what the camera will be going through.

If it's on a vehicle it always gets an extra 1/4 turn.

I airways hook a securing line to the camera so that if it does get loose, especially somewhere it will be unrecoverable, I still have it.

It bothers me that they didn't include a cord mount on the camera housing so I bought machined aluminum lense rings with mounting points on them since I use them on lakes and in the ocean mostly.

For some reason that made me laugh and snort beer out of my nose ( I'm going to sit on the naughty step now and try to get the beer out of my keyboard).
