Got a gift card from my in-laws for Christmas so bought myself a bottle of Jim Beam Devil's Cut 90 proof. Goes well next to my Avispa.

oh, the Glenmorangie 18 is sooooo smoooooooth... :D

it's somewhat of a rare treat for me... at $130 per 750mL bottle, I tend to save it for special occasions. ;)

that being said, their 10 and 12 year varieties are also very nice, and at a much lower price point.

How do you like the Esee Zancudo? I am strangely attracted to those since I saw them a while back.

Note sure about the Zancudo, I can ask my mate who has one, but the Esee Avispa is Awesome! Love the large knife fits so well in hand, I carry it every where first thing I grab in the morning. I wanted the Ontario Rat 1, I ordered two last year, however were loved more by Australian Customs Dept.

I only have two or three non SAK pocket knives left. This Northwoods stockman is one of them.

Don't get too serious, just enough will do.

you have excellent taste, my friend.... in whisky, at least. :D

how does the Superstition compare to the "regular" Jura? I've been wanting to try it, but can't seem to find it anywhere. :(

BTW, was this a swipe at my taste in knives, or my frank honestly about my feelings towards a certain multitool manufacturer  :P

I believe any whiskey is allowed Cap, post your poison!

Glad to see I'm not the only fan of Woodford Reserve around here. :tu:

Have you had any of the limited Woodford offerings, 50ft-trad?

Have you had the maple cask yet Cap? I got to try it at a wine tasting last November. Surprisingly tasty. My only beef with Crown is the "burn" at the end. I don't find it harsh but if I haven't had it in a while it's a shocking surprise compared to the sweet start. The maple cask pretty much eliminates that.

At least I think it did? It was a wine/spirit/beer tasting and I was pretty smurf faced when I left. Thank God for my friends pregnant wife DDing us. LOL!

I was thinking about getting the Maple last night, but I heard some mixed reviews about it. I might give it a go though. I really want to find a bottle of Cask No.16.

Crown Special Reserve tonight. I do not have a real keen Whiskey pallet, but the difference in quality is easily noticeable.

Nope. Crown sent it to me for free. All you have to do is join their club (free) and you get like 5 or 10 free labels a month that say anything you want.
