I've currently go me eye on an older Scout knife with a solid plastic handle very similar to the Viking one.  The sheath looks very interesting on it as well.

An example: http://www.amazon.com/Mora-Sweden-Knives-Morakniv-Plastic/dp/B003Z5AZ1Q/ref=pd_sxp_redirect

Gareth,

I've never dealt with them before but Bronzemoon Outdoors have the Mora Scout 440 advertised. (The only one I've seen in the UK)!
http://www.bronzemoonoutdoors.co.uk/mora-scout-knife

There appears to be quite a few advertised in Europe.

Gaute(Grathr) sent me this Mora 2000 just because he could and wanted to know my thoughts on it. While I haven't got to play with it a bunch, so far I have been impressed with it.
Thanks again Gaute! I owe you one big time.

Cheers for that. :tu:  I do hate to sound fussy, but I really liked the look of one in yellow.  Haven't found one available with decent postage yet though.

Something like this one from Germany?

Our European cousins seem to have a lot more choice than we do in the UK.
I've also noticed that Russia of all places has most choice, maybe it's because of Sweden being a neighbouring Country.

I stopped by a hardwarestore at work today and picked up the Pro C and the new 511.
Here are some comparison pics with the old 511:

The orignal 511 blade is not really that dark, it tipped away from the light, and has seen some use.

I have said it before, but I say it again. The new sheaths really is a big improvement. There is virtually no rattling when shaking it from side to side.
I got the new 511 for $5 and the Pro C for $8,70!

Those look great!!!!!   How's the grip on the new one?

Its a little different. Its a bit thicker than the orginal. I must do some more testing to see wich one is better.
The dual density grip on the Pro is great though.

Got this used Bark River sheath in today. It fits my KJE #1/0 Classic perfect. (the orig sheath is in the background)

In a pinch, it will fit my Marbles Woodcraft too.

Nope, I figured I couldn't be a real Mora owner if I didn't have carbon in there somewhere. But my buddy that I'm giving the other one to certainly won't be taking the time to clean and oil it so I thought stainless would be a better call for him.
