Is there a microbevel on the edge of the scandi grind on the bushcraft black?? ???

I read it comes with one and mine did too.

I forgot to add it is a small/slight one.  I microbevel all mine anyway.

Mine....
(Image removed from quote.)

Why would there be a sheath with a diamond sharpener on it?  I thought a microbevel needed a hoodoo hone or similar method??

I think those are for a convex edge aren't they? I use a diamond hone all the time on my Moras.

Thanks guys!!!!!

It has "SEK" (Swedish Kronor?) stamped on the handle. It's under the stain so it's a factory stamp. First one I've seen so stamped. The knife could date from the 50's to the late 90's+ but the plastic sheath says 80's-90's to me.

Its a bit weird to brand a knife with the abbreviation for the swedish currency. Could it be a knife that has been issued to its employees by a company or a government institution?

Could be but the stamp is under the stain so perhaps a special run for that company or institution unless it's stamped for the domestic market, maybe????   ???

Love the variation in these knives!!!!   :D

I was looking for a project, and fancied trying my hand at making a knife handle/kydex sheath. I'd already bought one of these Bahco branded Clippers last summer and been very impressed. I'm in NZ and things are generally pretty expensive down here, however I got 4 of these for 30usd at a local store. Didn't take much effort at all to remove the blade with my Surge. I'd also like to integrate a LM large bit driver in the handle if I can find a donor.

Now to choose some wood for the first handle!

Surge, Wave, Rebar, Micra, C33x

Thanks gents!

Got bored last night so I put some sandpaper to wood, carved the bottom round, then stained it. Much more comfy to grip now, less slippy  :tu:

Scored a few sharp bits at a yard sale, this was there for $2, and I've been watching it, wanted to try 1.4116 :D

It's finally here.....A nice #1 size,

It's laminated steel I believe...the edge patinas darker that the rest of the blade and that's exactly how my laminated Frosts do....harder to see after I "flitzed" the blade. The edge chips along the zero grind support my theory.
