Wanted: rare pliers-based MTs
on: January 11, 2015, 03:20:36 PM
Post-Christmas bills causing you financial stress ?

Maybe you want to shake up your collection a bit and swap for something different that is hard to find ?

I may be able to help you  :pok:

I'm looking for the following:
(yes, I know these are all rare and collectible, so I won't be holding my breath while I wait)

LM Original 1983 catalogue PSTs (Cabela's or Early Winters) with "Leatherman, USA" etched on the main part of the blade

LM Juice: camo (green or brown) or original SX

LM Squirt P4: black, orange (not PS4)

Zibermann plier/shears MT

Penn TiN MT (PPP by SOG)

SOG CrossCut black (T50B)

SOG CrossGrip: Black, Tiger Stripe (B55T)

BuckTools MiniBuck 350 black

Gerber Tread

Gerber MP600 blue

Gerber Multi-Plier version 1 (original "Mr Pinchy with highly polished handles, scissors, super thick lanyard attachment)

Sheffield copy of Kershaw A100 (straight jaws, OHO blade)

Cummins or Bulit labelled copies of Kershaw A100 (locking pliers MT)

Anything plier-based that is particularly rare/unusual or just plain weird.

If you need the money PM me with how much I'd need to pay to prise one of these out of your hands.

If you'd rather trade let me know what gem you'd like to make a swap work.  I can do trades with a $$$ (paypal) adjustment to equalize values if needed.

I've been burnt before what with sellers changing their minds and carriers "losing" tools in transit, so now I wait until the tool is actually delivered (either direct to me or to my US forwarding agent).  When it arrives I'll cross the Sheffield Crocodile off the list  :D

I have a Kerhsaw "something" MT.  Like the one pictured. Don't have my own pic yet. It is new in box (box is intact but slightly damaged and plasic window is going a little yellow). Must have been in their display cabinet forever. I only it pulled out of the box to have a look. There is one up for auction on flea bay ATM. To be honest you'd probably get it cheaper than what I'd be after.
I have a paypal account. Not too keen on pay you later. Buyer pays shipping and customs.
Would consider trade. I'm after a Wenger Rangergrip 90 as new. Let me known what else you may have.

That looks like a genuine Kershaw A100 (MT with locking pliers).  I already have several of them, I was after clones/copies, not the real thing.  Genuine A100s are pretty popular with kershaw collectors so you should be able to sell it for reasonable money either here on Mto or on flea bay Oz.  But thanks for giving me the opportunity.   :tu:

I have a MP600 first production run. SS, Needlenose, black lock tabs.
Downside: It is mising 2 mm from the blade tip. I could replace the blade with another example out of another one but have not done so until now.
And I do have 3 Multi  lites... :pok:

I really would like one of these:

LM Original 1983 catalogue PSTs (Cabela's or Early Winters) with "Leatherman, USA" etched on the main part of the blade

I wonder if I offered an Al Mar 4x4 "Valade" as a trade would anyone be tempted ?   :pok:
