Hi from New Mexico

New guy stopping to say hello. Actually I've lurked here for quite some time and decided I should register.
I live in the mountains in Southern New Mexico. I really love it here and can't think a any place I'd rather be at right now. I am about a half mile from Nat'l Forest and live in a small adobe on the side of a mountain. Not so wild but very quiet and peaceful.
For many years, I resisted buying my first multitool because of the high cost and actually trusting these new fangled gadgets. Later I realized I would like to get one but just couldn't at the time. One early morning I was walking along a lake and seen a spot where somebody was cleaning fish beside the water. Laying right there to my surprise was a nearly hidden and bloody multitool next to a pile of assorted wood debris and ashes from the previous night. I got to use it and abuse it at work and play, it performed much better than I ever thought it could. I still have it and occasionally use it to this day.
I do own a small collection of Multitools now along with various Swiss Army knives. I collect outdoor knives and other sport tools/equipment for hiking, cycling, exploring, etc. I am also a bicycle fanatic and into shooting primitive wooden bows for fun. Hopefully soon, there will be an opportunity for travel here and aboard. You can bet that I will be carrying at least one multitool with me everywhere I go.

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible
"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

Hey there, the MT I found by the lake is a Gerber M400, I think. It is still in remarkable condition and I used many times at work and used it as a standard tool on my touring bike. Though today I have different MT's for different things.
