Does anyone have side by side comparison pics of the all USA Powerlock vs the USA "assembled" Powerlock?

Thanks

Sadly I don't have any of the China or assembled at all. Just a Made in the US one. I have handled the others, and it is like night and day.

Well here are my accumulation, I have had them long enough, I'm sure they are all USA models, but was curious what a China one looked like.  (I had just about forgotten I asked...)

The 2 Black Oxide have just "SOG" on the head, and the others have "SOG USA".  As far as I can tell, I believe they are all USA made, with the current user (far right) and Black Oxides being EOD's and the other two just regulars.  The one Black Oxide has newer wings on it, as it had been winged when I got it.

I have seen the ones with "SOG" 3 or 4 times around the pliers pivot and wondered if they were the China production.

There are so many variations, it is hard to tell.

You are right. There are so many variations. Biggest difference, is the stamping. The ruler, SOG logo and the handles are very crisp, they are most likely made in the US. Also, if they did not come with gear covers, they are made in the US. The sure way is if it says made in the US stamped on the tool or if the paperwork that comes with it says made in the US. Hex bolts or Allen screws hard to judge by because they seem to keep switching back and forth.
Hope this helps.
