But I like it!!! Doesn't it get slippery?

This is my first piston filler, so have to get used to that now…

No, it has small linear ridges.  I have the corresponding ball point too.

I like fountain pens, but the nature of my work is such that I'd be constantly wiping the dried ink from the nib more than writing, so I use it for billing purposes where there's continuous writing.

I have that one too in graphite, plus the transparent one.

Also have a couple of vintage ones that I can't recall the name at the moment.

Mostly using Noodler's saguaro wine ink, comes in a 50ml bottle which I'm sure will last me lifetime with the rate I'm using.

Writing with a wide nib is awesome, not something you can duplicate with any other pen. Assuming you have good hand writing that is, which I don't.

Ohto Dude, Faber-Castell Loom or Online Academy when I'm at home

I have other pens I use at home, and a couple of Chinese pens that are really easy to disassemble so I use them for testing ink mixes, but those three get the most use.

Ohto Tasche, Aldo Domani Sorrento or Kaweco Sport Classic when I'm out

The Kaweco is new and I have to say I'm kind of disappointed in it so far.  Even after a lot (and I mean a *lot*) of nib adjustment it still hard starts on a semi-regular basis whereas the Ohto and Aldo Domani don't have that problem.

Nice pens guys  :tu: I haven't used a fountain pen for years (don't do enough scrawling to make it worthwhile)

Mainly Lamy, sometimes the YSL I was given but always Pentel pencils

I have about 10 Lamy Safaris and the same number of Vista's, but I do use my own mix of ink. But that's a secret ;)

I really like my trusty blue Lamy Safari Al-Star. It is keen. The gunmetal grey one is pretty much the same, I suppose.

For cartooning, I really like my cheapo modified Cross Aventura fine-point. It's the only fountain pen I have ever found that can handle legit India ink.

Well Serena, I hope you have better luck with your Twsbi than I've had with mine, because mine have been kinda awful.

Sheaffer_Targa_1000_Chrome

Rotring Artpen (medium point)

Tombow HAVANNA

That Tombow is indeed very pretty.

Here's a pic of something I just got in from Japan today, an Ohto Rook.  Pictured beside a Diplomat Spacetec, which is identical to a Fisher Bullet

Thanks. The Tombow is a little heavy to work with for a long while. The Sheaffer is great, very smooth and slides nicely. The Rotring is great for making "artistic" text, with the medium tip. I use it for taking some more relaxed notes. For a faster writing, the Sheaffer is the one I use.

Love the smell of fresh ink!

Thanks to this thread I decided to try a fountain pen again. So I got my self a Pilot foutain pen with a fine nib.  And its awesome!
My writing is now readable, and much more relaxed.
My coworkers give me strange looks when I put the a glass of ink on my desk to fill my pen every morning though :D

Every morning?!

Yes, It has a non transparent inc pump. I
hate to run out of ink in a meeting somewhere during the day. So I empty it and rinse it in water before leaving work every afternoon, and refill it every morning. That way Im sure to never run out of ink.

How often do you refill your pens?

I might be overdoing it then
But the bladder on the pilot is quite small.
I burned through a full cartridge in 3days, and they take quite a bit more ink than the bladder.
