I would say keep doing what you are doing or clean and fill it every other day.

Does it not dry up then?
I know mine starts to act funny after a few days if it isnt cleaned.

Anyway, I burned throug one filling in one day last week, so I think Ill stay with my regime.

No fountain pens for me. I use Bic pens at work.
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.

What I ink what pen?  I've got a few Japanese pens from Ohto and Platinum that are happy to sit unused for a few months and start up the second they're picked up.
