Gerber MP600 handle font?

A Gerber web site photo of a military MP600 shows a different font style used for the words "Gerber" and "U.S.A." than I've seen on the actual MP600s.

The first photo below is the MP600 portrayed on the Gerber web site.  The second photo is an example of the font used on actual MP600s I've seen.

Have you seen a real MP600 labeled using the first font?

Gerber had updated their logo and letter/number fonts not long ago but just like you I am yet to see this on a 'real' MP600 tool.

I do however have couple of their knives (EAB and Decree) and a 'new' Shard which feature this new thick 'squarish' logo.

My attention was drawn to the font by a photo on eBay.   A guy was selling a military MP600, but he posted a photo from the Gerber web site instead of a photo of the actual item he was selling.
