I take my coffee with one sugar, unless it's some REALLY strong stuff, then two sugars. I do not dig cream in coffee, and find it worse in tea. Not powdered creamer, not real cream. Just don't dig it. An exception can be made on occasion for Irish Cream. :D

I also have to say, when I have sugar, I mean SUGAR, not artificial sweetener. I don't drink so much coffee that the 15 or so calories from the Sugar are going to make a difference. And ALSO when I say sugar, I don't mean that dirty brown  lumpy crap in the packets at froo-froo coffee joints. I mean plain white sugar.
Try giving Raw Honey a go.  It really killed sugar for me..... It's great in coffee, tea, etc.

I used to dump lots of sugar and cream into coffee, but since I started using a press, I've gradually converted to black only.

Can I ask why is this?

I'm not 100% sure myself, but I think its due to the combination of better/more intense flavor of pressed coffee compare to the watery taste of dripped coffee, and change in taste as I get older.

I just bought a cup of dripped coffee yesterday while out, it just tastes bitter with none of the aroma from pressed version.

I usually only drink a little coffee at church on Sundays when my Mountain Dew runs out. I take a little bit of regular with some milk, raw sugar and cinnamon. Gets me perked up  :ahhh

My EDC (Every Day Coffee!):
Aeropress with Able stainless steel filter.
Porlex mini coffee mill (fits inside Aeropress for travel).
Medium roast beans, ground fine.
0.5L hot water.
Timing device (the watch I'm wearing).
30 second inverted brewing method.

Typically 2 cups to get the day started. Often a third cup in an insulated and leak proof tumbler for the road. This kit is used at home, when traveling, on vacation, camping, etc. If I anticipate being away from home overnight, the kit goes with me.

I like good coffee, don't like paying for the crap that is served at most coffee shops, and despise dark roasts (reminds me of the stink of an ashtray). I'll drive past Tim Horton's, Starbucks, etc to get to McDonalds if I'm in need a coffee when on the road without my kit. Though that doesn't happen often.

I sold all the expensive coffee brewing equipment I had after 6 months of owning an Aeropress. It wasn't being used. I still have plenty of filters, presses, mocha pots, etc, collecting dust. I give them away when I can...

I really want an Aeropress. I am just using a burr grinder and a cuisinart drip. Or my espresso machine.
I am thinking the aeropress would be perfect to take to camp too. I'm the only one in my relationship who drinks coffee. All the more for me I guess!

My routine in the morning.
Pour beans into burr grinder. Usually a great bold medium roast. I am drinking a lovely Mexican Chiapas right now.
Add the ground beans and water into my Cuisinart 14-Cup coffee maker. (Oh, did I mention that I am the only one who drinks coffee?)
Drink all of the coffee. So much coffee.

Or this: http://www.mec.ca/product/5040-525/gsi-java-press-30-oz/

That's the one I ended up buying. It works just like any other French press, except in plastic so more drop/crush resistant.

The other one is basically a single serve press with an extra cup nested outside.

If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were flirting with me...

I don't think you'll regret the purchase of an Aeropress. Part of the fun is there are many brewing technique variations, almost as many as there are different beans. Even a mediocre bean can make a decent cup when the correct technique is employed.

While I have paper filters available, I prefer to use the Able Fine stainless steel disk filter to get more flavorful oils into the cup, and to reduce the paper in my compost. The minor amount of sediment in the cup is of no bother to me.

I now drink less than half the coffee I used to. Quality over quantity...

I bought a french press, http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/coffee-press-3-cup-0420374p.html#.VSGr1vnF98E, and am pretty impressed with the brew!  I just used regular drip grind, but it seemed to have more flavor.  :tu:

Definitely - you can't go putting cream or sugar in that cup. If you do, you may find yourself mysteriously clutching your neck, unable to breathe.

I've tried a crap ton of coffee gadgets and methods...

My current favorites are immersion style with a basket...and Moka pot. This Primula Brew buddy packs flat and is easy to clean...Cowboy Coffee without the crunch.

Korean single-serve coffee dripper. You tear open the top and pull out the paper legs. I believe I saw these somewhere as empty filters.
