Flashlights at SHOT 2015

Found this one of Foursevens new torches.  I like the idea of a bolt-action light. 8)

Looks like Eagletac have a new 1xAAA light, plus an upgrade to their 1xAA light.

I only have a few LED lights, but even with those I'm finding the "hotspot" irritating. Even on wide flood the centre hotspot is just overwhelming.

Are there any good lights out there that have overcome this issue.

All those in the video displayed the hotspot too - which has totally put me off buying any.
I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.

Zooms with a convex lens will not have any hot spot on the wide beam setting. and they are cheap.

Nothing interesting or new so far for me. The bolt action 47s was announced a few months back in their newsletter and I've read about the Eagletac AAA for some time now. Not too impressed with it though.

Bought one today :salute:. I loved the S10 but was unhappy with the button, that change really rocks!

"Normal" Zebralights still have the hotspot, but the floody ones don't and I'm a big fan of them. The problem is you don't get anything like the throw. There's the SC52F which is the inline torch, and the H52F which is the right angled headlamp. I see no reason to buy the SC52F over the H52F, particularly as using the SC as a head torch is a pain.

You can also put a bit of frosted tape over the lens of a normal torch to smooth the hotspot out.

New Fenix lights.

I like the lantern quite a bit (starts around 10min in) but not sure what the price tag will be.
