It would appear that we have the opportunity to send someone to IWA this year, so if anyone is near Nuremberg, or will be between the 6 and 9th of March, please let me know and we can make the appropriate arrangements.

IWA is closed to the public, so this might be the only way you would get to see it.  For anyone not familiar with IWA, it is basically the European version of SHOT.  Leatherman, Victorinox, Gerber, Maxpedition and many, many others will be showcasing new products there, just like at SHOT.

We already have a photographer in place, so anyone going would have to be more comfortable writing things up- this is little more than transcribing the notes you make at the show and is actually quite easy.  Heck, Bob and I managed it, it can't be that hard!

I am closer than most, but I must check with my family and other plans before In can even say I´m interested. (Which I am, of course...)

Grant, firstly thank you for the offer!  :tu:

While I would be interested normally I am still dealing with some medical problems and I am not sure I will be up to it in March.  :-\

But I only can encourage all other possible attendees: I attended some non-public fairs with university and it's really worth it. Not your ordinary advertisment event.  ;)
So don't miss the chance!

Humm 900km, 8 hours drive. A bit too far/expensive for me sadly.

Too bad, I have habits of private scientific conferences.

Thinking again, 900 km by foot and with some swimming isn't that much.

Is that a response to the barmaid photo or are you actually able and interested in going to the show?  :D

This honestly had me looking at flights to Nuremberg.  Sadly it's a little pricy for me.

I'm genuinely interested in attending the show, the problem are the funds that are scarce at moment. I've never been to SHOT, but I'm assuming that in IWA you get a lot of european makers that you wont find at SHOT. Next time maybe, better start saving!!!
