So you finally get that sweet dream job at Victorinox.

Day one the CEO comes to you and asks if you would make a new SAK model. All the other tools are already decided but you are to decide on the last little bit.

You have the option of the CT bit driver or a combo of Fish scaler, Mag glass and Inline phillps.

What will it be?

It would have more votes if you called it a sweet fish scaler

I may or may not have done that on purpose.

So people coming along later don't think we are cray I changed the poll to make it more fair.

Out here on the farm we're pretty much old school...liable to need a "poker" (fish scaler), a can opener, a scraper (awl), a mag glass to spot a grass burr point, a flat screwdriver and an inline Phillips for the ubiquitous loose door handle. Very little need for a dedicated driver layer.

Yeah both of my "imaginary" tools have all the stuff you are talking about except the fish scaler and mag glass.

What in the world is a grass burr point? Been a outside worker and person my whole life but never hear do this. I award you the more country award for today.

93mm alox swisschamp

Get with Syph he will make you a 91mm SC.

You know, when you get a dried sticker in your foot or sock and after removal...the point or tine is still embedded, having broken off from the main burr. I'm old and sometimes need a light and a magnifier to spot the little ones.

BTW, in the summer, there are so many grass burrs here that I always have a SAK with pliers close by to pick stickers out shoe laces, pants legs etc...saves the fingers!

Oh yeah I hate them things. Never knew their name though.

All tied up now 5 to 5.

Going on record to say I do not get how you guys like the SC over the CT. Pokey fish scaler and stubby Phillips vs the long multi bit using CT driver.

I will exclude SG and his old eyes and his mag glass.  :pok:

Like i mentioned in the Swiss Champ Treadth:
I wish they shall put the Flashlight somethimes in the Scales, because there is space and it would free the Place oposide the Screedriver which can be fit whit a Magnificent Lens like in the Swisschamp..
They dit this allready on some of the 53 mm modells i saw in other Threads...
Then they only needs to put the Blade Look from the Wenger Modells (they should own the patents now) on there 91 mm Modells and im happy..

Your SAK is only fully yours, when it bites you, or you opend a Trink of your joice whit it
SAKs i have: Huntsman Light (Red Transparent), Workchamp (Black), Wenger EvoGrip S557 (Red), Swisschamp XLT (Red Transparent)..

I don't think the SC configuration can be beaten for an all round tool
But the CT bit driver gets loads of use around the house, on kids toys etc.
It would be a hard choice and a dilemma I face most days(CT41 or SC)to go in my pocket

I like the CT set up,but at work the inline Phillips trumps it. Oh,and the fish scaler? King of the olive forks!
There is no beginning,or ending, and for this we are thankful, cos now is hard enough to understand!

Got a killer deal on my CT Lite but still was more then twice what you paid for your SC. Nice score.

Stubby inline beats a phillips with way more reach?

I am guessing you been using the fish scaler to dig out olives for your martinis already today?

There is a Scale on  it in Inch and centimeters you can draw circles whit it..

After getting my first SC I thought it was great but wanted to try a CT, after a few weeks I went back to my SC.  Thinking the CT Lite would trump my SC I got one and was quickly back to my SC again.

Now with several SCs and the one of each CT I can say confidently in my usage
SWISSCHAMP is the hands down winner of pocket space for me.
