Like Alox more better but hate only having one to chose from.

Might have lasted longer if I had more then just my lonely Pioneer.

I have to admit that I'm on the opposite side. I prefer Alox to Cellidor although I do wish they offered more models in it.
I'm pushing it to the 6th with Pfrsantos for all those who have failed this challenge

More and more on this side, too. The only thing I miss is the T&T. Carrying a Classic or another 58mm takes care of that, though...

Starting to get an idea of where all these SAK's and MT's for sale in the classifieds come from.

Buy something that seems like a good idea and it isn't all you thought it would be, I am looking at your combo tool.  :twak:

Or later on down the road you just find a better combination of tools and scales. Say the ever so sweet Red Shield Pioneer.

Yeah I agree with you, evolution of sorts. As you figure out what works best for you, the rest get set on the back burner. But I don't know what my combo tool is

Corkscrew?

Fish Scaler?

Anything made by Buck or Gerber?   :pok:

Who knows what it will be. Kinda like porn hard to describe but you will know what it is when you see it.

I'd still take the Farmer. No frills, no shills, just great for shotgunning a beer

Well, our 28 Days of Alox are over. From here we've been challenged to 31 days of fat SAKs. I've got to say I feel...saddened. I've been surprised how much I've enjoyed the different Aloxs, especially the former military issue ones! I've also finally confirmed to myself that I don't get along with 84mm Alox. Just to thin in the hand for me.

I've loved carrying assorted 93mm models, but I am left wondering how well I'd have coped at work in December, when I'm more more tool active. At some point I'm going to have to get a custom Alox with scissors and phillips

A big thank you to everyone who took part, and contributed photos, even Al with his Wenger Traveller  .

This is what a carried yesterday, the last day if this challenge.

It was alot of fun.

I got to see great pictures of alot of very nice Alox and learned more about these marvelus SAKs.

I also had the chance to learned new things about my collection and got to carry several SAKs for the first time (something I'm not particulary proud of).

Unfortunately, I will not be able to join you on the Fat SAK month.  I live on an urban environment so I can only carry SAKs that fit  in my pocket. I find anything over 4 layer just to thick to carry comfortably. I wish you all good luck on this new challenge, I'll be watching on the side lines.

We should change the title on this to "34 days of Alox"...

Still going with the Cadet.

What about this title: "Who's carrying an Alox today?"

That way there is no expiration date.

People can post their Shelf Queen comments on the Alox forever! thread and leave this one exclusively for user comments.

I think Herley might have a bone to pick with that idea since all he'd see is "XY model again"
