Pocket Pen Suggestions
on: February 11, 2015, 02:04:37 AM
I am looking for a new pocket pen. Something short when not in use but extends to a full sized pen size. Also, something that is affordable (somewhere around the $5 range). I have the Fisher Space Pen but the pocket clip broke and I am not willing to pay another $5+ just for another clip. I have been looking at the  Zebra SL-F1 lately, but I want to see if there is anything better. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Odd added question, do you carry a pocket pad? And what pocket?

Not as cheap, but, if it is only to be used occasionally some of the 58mm victorinox knives come with a pen (e.g. signature model).

Now, when you extend the file, making the tool longer the pen is surprisingly comfortable to use.

I have a manager on me most times.
Kelly: "Daddy, what makes men cheat on women?
Al : "Women!"

91mm Plus scales house a pen and has been a great addition to my SAK.  The 58mm is a terrific pen solution as well.

My pocket pen is a stainless Parker Jotter. I also use a soft backed Moleskine for a pocket pad, usually for notes during meetings at work.

I do. I carry a Rite in the Rain notepad and carry it in my shirt pocket.

I carry a Parker Jotter as well (currently with a Fisher refill).  If I don't expect to do any writing (short errands, etc), I'll stick the 58mm Manager pen.
