A bit late for my No Life Club entry, but I've just noticed that today is the one year anniversary of me signing up to MTO, so here's my first giveaway. :)

Rummaging in the shed at the weekend I came across a pile of Pioneer parts and it looks like there's enough in there to build an Alox Ranger: Blade + awl, scissors, file, saw and opener layer, wrapped up in stock silver alox scales with the red shield and held together with threaded brass pivots and torx screws.  Or a Farmer with file and scissors, if you prefer.  I'll check through the parts tonight and make doubly sure I've got all the bits, and get some photos of the work in progress as it goes along.

If anyone (members with 50 or more posts by the end of the giveaway only please) would like to win this knife then please post a number between 1 and 1000 and I'll draw the winner on the 3rd March (my birthday :D ).

I'm out. (Anti SAK guy) but congrats! Excellent giveaway. I have to do mine later this year. I really hope to incorporate some kind of custom addition like you have going here!

1) It's a older file - the hard chromed type, not the newer stainless version.  Not as good on metal, better on nails.
2) I don't have a keyring attachment for it, but could make one if you really, really want one.

First test build, it's a bit of a beast:


All went together nicely.  Needs a clean and polish, and I need to make the pins.

I'd love to have this but I think others would carry it and use it more than I would so good luck to all and thank you for a great gaw but more importantly thank you for helping to make this place as awesome as it is.
