Can a pipe cleaner add an awl and small hammer to my EDC?!?

Newbie here. Couldn't find other threads about this so apologies if its old news.

I was putzing around trying to figure out how to add a reamer/awl to my EDC (without adding a whole SAK) and I came across the pipe tool shown in the attached picture. I never even knew these existed so obviously I ordered one immediately!

I can't wait to see this thing in person. It's around $8 on Amazon, looks like it's built with torx screws so I'm optimistic that the caribeener and keychain-thingy can be removed, looks to be around the size of a Letherman Style CS (so it can be added as a coin pocket accessory tool), and might offer a light duty hammer!!!!

I know its small so we'll see how useful it is, but it doesn't add enough functionality to warrant a lot of pocket space so the small size is key. I'll post again when it arrives.

As a former pipe smoker with a dozen of tools like this, I inform you that they are made of soft steel and, in many cases, just iron. Tobacco is soft anyway.

I've got a couple, you can get them between 99¢ and $10, and they are all soft metal.  That awl will bend on anything heavier than cigar ash for sure.

As a pipe smoker myself, you won't be hammering with the tamper. Unless you are hammering flower petals or feathers or perhaps boiled potatoes.

Speaking of pipe tools, I've used a couple of nice ones from Germany, one looking like a mini  SAK and a similar that has a pipe shape, but the best utilitarian is the one with the Greek Meandros from Czech Republic (my first was from Czechoslovakia).

Plainly, simply works perfectly. But that too works on tobacco, not tough materials.

I like the look of that Greek tool.   That's pretty sweet.

Well, it's not Greek of course, it is Czech. They use a Greek symbol to give it a classic look (and successfully in my opinion).
It is the better tool one can get for cheap and one of the reasons for being so is the way it is articulated, if I express it right. That bronze ring makes all the difference.

I meant to post this when it was live but was lazy and so I waited 3 months.
Don't know why I remembered it now but....

If you want a small 1.5-2oz "hammer" for edc try a "Thompson Center Wedge Puller".
Have 2 for my muzzle loaders and basically they have a hammer face, mini pry bar, and nipple wrench as a OPT.

Cant see using one for anything serious but it could have saved the finish on my LM a few times while making adjustments to things. And its quicker than finding a loose brick.
Yes I've done both. :D
Might have to move one to my EDC

Something I picked up a few weeks back and have been meaning to review is this:

the only place I've seen them for sale is RS components, they're £12.

The hammer folds down in to the handle leaving the bit holder straight out the end like a normal ratchet screwdriver. It's a bit of a coarse mechanism but seems to work OK. The handle contains 6 1/4" bits and a handful of small sockets too. And it has a bottle opener!

I've settled on a piece of rubber bungee jamed in the skeletool caribeener as the best way to add a way to hit stuff to my carry. This was the topic of my first forum post , I moved away from it for a bit, then tried a nut and bolt like Kampfer's Skulletool for a bit, but am back to the rubber mini mallet as the best solution for me.

I used the little hammer on Skulletool to flat down heavy duty staples all the time, very useful for me. I gave up the carabiner for it but the cap lifter still works fine.
