Found something in a cupboard
on: March 01, 2015, 12:49:21 PM
This is actually the 6th old and strange multitool I find around the house (it seems I'm not the first knife-nut in the family).
This one has no blade markings, a semi-rusted stainless steel, brass liners, a strange uneven handle shape, a brittly can opener hich broke apart when I opened it, oldschool single-spring scissors.
The strangest are the long pointy bits.. they seem to be saw and metal saws but they are so thin and curved to the front.. very strange, but kind of cool.

PS: I'd imagine it's Romanian-made. Probably copying something from Sollingen.

Just a guess but judging from the shape of the cap lifter/screwdriver blade and the concave(?)grind of the master blade I would think it might be modern day Chinese. One of the blades is indeed a saw(a rather poor one at best)and the other is likely a fingernail file.

I think the saw is for cutting through metal film around bottle necks.

Trimming broken corks and light wire also.

Maybe
