Yyyeah, actually, I realized that my most used knife is the Victorinox Pioneer. However, I wanted something: - even simpler (because I don't really use the SAK tools, just the blade)- something easier to clean- something elegantly looking- something not that expensiveFor me it will be more important to be able to carry the knife more easily and conveniently and the ... cutting part comes second So I hope I managed to find the right knifie for me. I'll get it tomorrow, I guess.
Elegant design, but I'm really skeptical to that locking system. Note how the hand rests on the locking spring without any stabilization at all. Part of what makes a frame lock secure is that you hold on to the opposing liner. I would be much more comfortable with a slipjoint or a friction folder than that one.Do keep us posted how you like it if you get one, or what you choose instead if you don't. An elegant, lightweight, not too expensive knife, which is easy to clean isn't that easy to find, in my experience. Opinels are nice, but the wood and mechanism certainly disqualifies them from being easy to clean. Have you considered the Victorinox Secretary?
You prefer a unit of blood instead?
So how does it feel when you are using it?Nate
