Flashlight want list...
on: March 17, 2015, 11:48:53 AM
OK, there are a few torches I've got my eye on, but currently at the top of the list is the Thrunite TN11S V2. 8)  Do I actually NEED this light?.....no, not really, but I do WANT one. :D  I've got quite a few smaller lights; 1xAAA, 2xAAA, 1xAA, 2xAA etc etc. but what I don't have is a 2x18650 photon thrower, and this one strikes me as a very good deal.

OK, so that's my next target, what about you lot?

I am looking for a good AA light.

Have my trusty Olight I3S AAA light that I love but it can be a pain to score AAA batteries sometimes.

Have a metric smurfton of CR123 tactical lights, Surefire and the like.

Any suggestions?

Oh man that T11S is sweet. 1100 Lumens!

Looks like a trip to BFE with the trusty metal detector is in order.

Gareth that D25A seems pretty nice. Tail clicky small light would be nice to have.

You bought the TN11S yet?  :pok:

No kidding. Also, if there are going to be any breakdowns, it is always in that field. Kinda like a Bermuda triangle there. I shake like a dog smurfting razor blades when I pull equipment there. LOL!

Mate, there are hundreds of single AA lights out there! :ahhh  I'll keep it simple though and suggest my personal favourite: the Eagletac D25A Clicky.
Too many LEDs to choose from though.

Very true.  I went with the XP-G2 R4 Neutral White LED, which no longer seems an option.  IIRC that offered a slightly tighter hot spot than the XM-L version.

What is the better NW option now?

I've done a little reading and I think the Nichia 219A is similar to the XP-G2 in , but a little more efficient.  You are giving up quite a few Lumens for that though, so from the current crop of LEDs they offer I'd go for the XM-L2 in neutral.

Miracles do happen though. ;) Zoid, didn't you loose a TTi once in the bush and it was found a couple of months later? And a mate of mine lost his GoPro while diving in the see and it was found by a fellow diver from his club 5 months later still in working condition.

Sadly, the SAK was lost years ago. Still gutted over that one. The lite, might get lucky. That's assuming that it didn't get destroyed by the farm equipment.
