Leatherman Brewzer -- possible fake

There is a Leatherman Brewzer (several, actually) listed on eBay right now for just a couple bucks. It comes with a genuine-looking Leatherman box, but the tool itself looks slightly different than the picture on the Leatherman website:

Does anyone have a Brewzer that they can compare to this pic? The notches on the top and bottom side don't look as indented in the eBay pic, and the Leatherman name is imprinted, rather than colored. Just trying to figure out if this really is a fake, or just a bad picture (or maybe an older model). Thanks.

Yeah that's a fake, the real leathermans are a bit darker and are laser etched not stamped like the logo on that one.

I'd say it's fake, ships from China, and apart from the things you have pointed out, there is no bevel on the end used for can opening as in the pic on leathermans website.

Yes, fake.

I have one exactly like that only with EDC Tool on it. EDC Tool is a Chinese venture that sees nothing wrong with copying ideas and actual tools. Let's just say that if you are a tool designer that needs to go the route of a crowd funding campaign, chances are EDC Tool will have a copy of it out before the OEM can put it into production. That is the way it seemed to me.
