My current config, from Scissors to blade:

Nice.  :tu:  Any chance you could list the original layout as well?

For reference, here is the original tool layout (don't remember about any spacer/washer):
  • File
  • Awl
  • Can opener / small screwdriver
  • Phillips
  • Bottle opener / Large flat screwdriver
  • Half serrated knife blade

Is there any rub in the pliers? Great job. Can't wait to try it myself

Where did you get the washers from?

Cannibalized from one of my PowerLock Pliers, along with the scissors.

After moving one of the 2 washers from between scissors and can opener to can opener and phillips, no rub with pliers. I corrected my post accordingly.

You sir have made a very good casual edc tool. Very nice loadout. :salute:

Explanation: I like this setup because it is a very basic, no frills or fluff, lightweight, compact, fun to use, just the basics for urban carry type of tool. No saw, awl, file, fish scaler, etc...if I need that I would go for something bigger. I think this is where the switchplier shines. I love my spirit, but I often go for the sog if I'm not at work. Just really impressed with this tool

Nice job Omar  :tu: I don't mind you posting the pics before me at all  :salute: I'd taken the pics, but then had to head out of town before I could get them uploaded..... and then when I got back my laptop kept rebooting itself

Yes, that it the only place where the scissors will fit, but they do seem to work well there. I finally got my pics and comparison uploaded in the comparison thread though  :tu:

So anyways, I got it relatively cheap (at least in finnish standards) only $49.95 + $8.99 shipping on evilBay, so I think it is now easily available  :tu:

Added some scissors to the switchplier today. I just added one washer in between the opener and scissors and it works great. It took forever trying to align all the pieces together. I really wish I can talk to the designer of the scissors. It doesn't need to be so complicated.

But they are in and I am happy now. What to do with the spare parts?

I like my .38. I put 100 rounds through it today's doing tactical drills with my brother. I have a ton of speedstrips and I like them more than speedloaders. I currently have 6 days left to wait then I'm picking up my new Glock 19. Wanted a 9MM and the price was right.

Saknight just get one. I was skeptical as well but it passed my expectations by a mile. It is my preferred carry outside of work (then it's the spirit) get one :tu:

Yes. It has its flaws like every other mt, but it has permanently found a spot in my rotation.
