In that case, the co-pilot would have probably shot the pilot....
Then arm the flight attendants too.  ;)

What I want to know is why we have to have all these rules. They all just seem to make things worse than before. Things were better off before 9/11, I mean victorinox sold full sized 91mm Swiss army multi tools on commercial airlines without regulation. Darn terrorists.

You can still buy SAKs in the duty free of some European airports.

I don't know actually  :-[

The only reason I know you can at all is because of a silly article in the idiotic paper that is the Daily Fail.

I have never traveled from the country, but my grandfather bought his Swiss in Germany in the early 70's. Still has it too!

I'm certainly no expert in this area, but my nephew is an engineer at Boeing, and he was telling us about finger/thumb print scanners for cockpit doors.  They would be programmed for override access by AM's on the flight in the event the pilots were compromised.  It's not quite the same thing as a post it note, but I get the point where outside locks could be compromised.  Just technology and ideas right now.

Sounds like a good idea - it would be way easier to get a weapon from a small flight attendant in case you want to use one, than smuggling it on board yourself.  :D
Have fun.

Bye,
Michael

I'm going to say two things.

One, I've suffered from clinical depression most of my life. I manage it without drugs, which isn't an option for everyone. If ever self destruct, I'm not to be a jackass about it and take others with me. (Caution- if I jump, I can not be held responsible for the result of my landing. Don't stand under the sad fat man when he tries to fly.)

Two, you can never protect again a sufficiently motivated individual. But the cockpit of a large aircraft should a "no lone zone", and even before this, I wasn't comfortable without there being a three man flight crew.

Necessity is the mother of invention. If you're not ready, it's "a mother". If you are, it's "mom".
