Is anyone Watching "100 Miles From Nowhere"

New here in the states is a show where 3 guy friends run/hike one hundred miles in 4 days.

I'm 3/4 through the first episode and wow.....

I understand they are running. But who doesn't carry a flashlight?

They have what they call "bear boxes" stocked with food and gear every 25 miles. And they didn't make it to the second one in the daylight because they added 2 hours of trekking to find water. (Another fail)

It's a good show, but do NONE of them have common sense??

So you have to outrun a bear for at least 12.5 miles to get to safety?  Sounds like someone is trying to feed the bears really....
